Javier Ulecia, (1962), graduated from the Universidad Politécnica, Madrid, as an aeronautical engineer. He holds an MBA from the H.E.C. School of Management, Paris.

Since October 2001, Mr. Ulecia is devoted to the management of Bullnet Gestión. He is a member of the Board of all the portfolio companies of Bullnet Capital I and II. He is also a member of the board of three non-technology companies (Reebok Sports Club, Image Fitness and Mangas).

In April 2000, Mr. Ulecia co-founded and became Chief Executive Officer of Doing, a Venture Capital firm specialized in technology related projects that managed a first fund of € 50MM, initially fully committed by Multitel (Spanish investor in the telecom sector).

Prior to joining Doing, Mr. Ulecia was Senior Manager at Bain & Company, the international strategy consulting firm, where he worked for more than five years, first in the Paris office and, since September 1996, in Madrid. At Bain, Mr. Ulecia advised senior management of major Spanish and international companies on strategic issues, focusing primarily on corporate strategy, sales & marketing, mergers & acquisitions and operations. He was an active member of Bain’s Worldwide Telecom/Technology and E-Commerce practices, as well as of Bain’s Private Equity consulting practice, executing strategic due diligence on major deals for pan-European investors.

Mr. Ulecia began his career with Renault in France as a Project Manager of its Research and Development Division, where he participated in projects developing on board telecommunication devices. 

Mr. Ulecia is an associated teacher at Instituto de Empresa, the Spanish business school. He also participates on a regular basis as a speaker or jury in Venture Capital forums and conferences.

Miguel del Caņizo, (1964), graduated from the Universidad Politécnica, Madrid, as a telecommunications engineer.

Since October 2001, Mr. del Cañizo is devoted to the management of Bullnet Gestión. He is a member of the Board of all the portfolio companies of Bullnet Capital I and II.

In June 2000 Mr. del Cañizo was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Doing

Prior to joining Doing, Mr. del Cañizo worked for Hewlett Packard Consulting as Director of its Spanish Telecom and Service Provider unit. He developed the unit’s activities from the beginning and served as its main executive. As such, he defined the sales and marketing strategy; recruited, trained and motivated the team of consultants and engineers; closed agreements with other system integrators; decided the investment areas and the required resources; and was directly involved in the definition, sale and execution of the most critical or innovative solutions.

Under Mr. del Cañizo´s leadership, HP’s Telecom and Technology consulting unit reached annual sales of  $15 MM in less than four years of operations and at that time employed more than 100 professionals. During that time, the unit worked for almost all the telecom operators and service providers in Spain.

Before HP, Mr. del Cañizo worked in the IT Division of Renault in France, where he managed a central support group specialized in network and communications projects.

Mr. del Canizo participates regularly as a speaker or jury in Venture Capital forums and conferences.
